Your Votes Bring Films to Cinema 16:9

Cinema 16:9 has always been open to suggestions, now there's an even better way to be heard! VOTE! We've started with two but if you don't see a film you like, add it under "other." When we see enough interest in a film, Cinema 16:9 will bring it to the big screen for our FilmFans Night!

Dearest Diary...

Sunday Morning, August 9, 2009.

Much has been happening at Cinema 16:9, and very little blogged about. It seems as though in order to keep up with my digital marketing I have to devote three days straight to get one day's update done.

I've also had quite a lot of personal needs over the last months. I won't go into the specifics, but let's just say I haven't been at the shop nearly as much as I need to be.

On a lighter note, we have a poll running right now - since I have a tux, I've been asking people to vote whether I should wear it more often.
The choices are:

• Yes.
• No.
• Sure... maybe for the weekend shows.
• Yes. Daily. Wear it daily. I for one would come in more if there were always a man in a tuxedo waiting on me.
• Yeah, and he should cut his hair into a mohawk, too.
• I think he should wear pantaloons and a codpiece.
• Other

For a while there I was getting nervous... the pantaloons and codpiece were winning. But "Daily" has taken a strong lead. And I'm planning to end the voting shortly. Right now, you can see me sporting my tux for every special event we hold at Cinema 16:9. But if you all have your way, the tuxedo will be my standard uniform.

Staff Additions/Subtractions
Over the last two months, we've had help from family, and joining the ranks of our staff, we've had Audrey, my sister-in-law, and Christian, my brother. They are from out of town, so our time with them is limited - Audrey was here through July, and Christian is here through August.

We would like to send special thanks to Cassie, who was with us through our opening, and has now moved on to do City Year in Philly.

Aside from all that, we're breaking out on our own, now with some fantastic film events - Cinema 16:9 is looking more and more like what I planned. A place for repository for film, a place for film exploration, discussion and enjoyment. Already looking ahead to the fall, you can expect frequent film discussions and special events. Really defining and differentiating Cinema 16:9 from the other guys.

We're also going to be increasing our food offerings, including take out and take in options. Soon, you'll be able to get a satisfying, quick meal at Cinema 16:9. And while you can enjoy Hot Dogs and Nachos with us, you'll soon have some more great options maybe as soon as September!
